Kitchen, Bath & Architectural Joinery

Rooms rather than boxes. We draw kitchen joinery as free-standing furniture, proportioned to the ceiling heights, moldings, and light your house already has, and build it in the same timbers and the same nineteen finishes as the furniture.

The Larder & Pantry

A culinary sanctuary.

Solid shelving, a cold stone slab set into the lower case, and hand-painted doors that close over the daily clutter without pretending it does not exist.

The Central Island

An anchoring table.

Rather than a monolithic run of base units, an island built with a furniture silhouette: turned legs, open lower storage, and a worktop that invites people to lean on it.

The Range & Mantle

An architectural hearth.

The range surround carries the structural weight of the room. We frame the cooktop within a trimmed mantle and conceal modern ventilation behind period proportion.

The Scullery & Utility

An honest workroom.

Boot rooms and butler's pantries ask for robust utility and quiet good manners in equal measure: deep apron sinks, beaded paneling, and finishes that expect hard use.

The Commission

How a room is arrived at.

  1. 01

    Discovery & architectural dialogue

    We listen to how the room is actually used, read the drawings, walk the space, and gather timber and finish samples into something you can hold.

  2. 02

    Design refinement & proportion

    Ideas become measured elevations. Profiles are drawn to the room's existing moldings, and finish samples are tested in the light they will actually live in.

  3. 03

    Benchcraft & hand-finishing

    Cases, doors, and dovetailed drawers are built at the bench in Lebanon, then colored and topcoated in a dust-free room before anything leaves the building.

  4. 04

    Installation & curation

    Fitted and scribed on site, including the hundred small adjustments no drawing ever predicts, and hand-touched where the last of the work is done.
